Clinical Information

Positron Emission Tomography and Computed Tomography(PET/CT) imaging is one of the most rapidly growing technologies in Radiology.

In oncology, PET/CT imaging can be used to help physicians detect cancers in their earliest stages, determine the full extent of malignant disease, assess the effectiveness of chemotherapy and recognize tumor recurrence.

In neurology, PET/CT imaging provides the physician with information for assessing various neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and other dementia, Parkinson's disease and Huntington's disease. Additionally, PET/CT allows physicians to localize epilectic foci for qualifying and identifying the site requiring surgical intervention.

In cardiology, PET/CT imaging enables physicians to screen for coronary artery disease, to assess flow rates and flow reserve and to distinguish viable from nonviable myocardium for bypass and transplant candidates.
