Meet Our Medical Director, Dafang Wu, MD, PhD

We are pleased to announce that Dafang Wu, MD, PhD has joined NCPIC as our new Medical Director.  With his strong passion for bridging clinical practice and research within PET imaging, Dr. Wu will be an exceptional addition to our Center. He will provide a key role in furthering our mission to provide state of the art PET imaging services to our patients and expanding our academic and research efforts locoregionally and beyond.

Dr. Wu completed his Nuclear Medicine and PET fellowship at UCLA and has over 20 years of experience interpreting PET imaging cases in oncology, neurology, cardiology, and infection/inflammation. In addition to his extensive clinical expertise, Dr. Wu is an avid clinician scientist. He obtained his PhD in Pharmacology and Pharmacokinetics from the University of Toronto, Canada and during his career has significantly contributed to the field of Nuclear Medicine, publishing more than 50 peer-reviewed papers and sole-authoring one book focusing on PET neuroimaging for dementias and epilepsies.

Dr. Wu comes to us from Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, MI where he served as the PET Center Director and Professor of Diagnostic Radiology & Molecular Imaging at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.
